Postpartum Support International
Postpartum Support International (PSI) has a website with rich resources for couples expecting and new mothers, fathers and their family members wanting more information about perinatal and postpartum mood disorders. PSI also provides a warmline, which parents or family can call for support, information, and resources. Calls are returned daily. The warmline number is: 1-800-944-4773 or 541-728-3427. Heart to Heart
Heart to Heart is a free, local telephone, text, and email service for Central Oregon parents experiencing family life or parenting challenges, generally available 7 days a week from 3pm to 9pm. This nonjudgmental service provides peer support and guidance to parents of children ages 0 – 8 years who are upset or troubled about a family issue, or just need a listening ear. Heart to Heart is staffed by parent volunteers. As parents, they understand that parenting is hard work and are available to help ease some of that workload by offering support. You may reach a parent volunteer at 541-322-2019.
The PSI and Heart to Heart warmlines are NOT crisis lines. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis and in need of support, please call 911 and ask for a CIT officer, go to your nearest emergency room, or contact the Deschutes County Mental Health crisis hotline at 1-800-875-7364, option 9.
